US company Continuous Composites awarded DoD contract

Continuous Composites, a pioneer in the AM 2.0 industry, has earned a Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract from the Department of Defence. The company will use its patented Continuous Fibre 3D Printing (CF3D) manufacturing process for a DoD multifunctional structural composite application through collaboration with AFRL.

US’ Arlington takes over Triumph Group’s composites business

Arlington Capital Partners, a Washington, DC-based private equity firm, has taken over Triumph Group’s composites business. US’ Continuous Composites, French Saint-Gobain to advance CF3D

Continuous Composites creates LCAA wing under AFRL's contract

Continuous Composites has succeeded in making a Low Cost Attritable Aircraft (LCAA) wing under an Air Force Research Laboratory’s two-year Wing Structure Design for Manufacturing (WiSDM) contract through Lockheed Martin. The project is based on a new structural design paradigm to bring down costs and lead times for attritable airframe structures.
