Germany’s BASF unveils orthopaedic insoles with Elastollan TPU

Germany’s BASF has launched orthopaedic insoles with Elastollan, BASF's thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The TPU is used as a filament by the duro3D paver in the production of individual shoe insoles using 3D printing processes. In sole applications, the material is characterised above all by its excellent vibration damping and resilience.

Germany’s BASF appoints new chairman of BOD & CFO

The supervisory board of BASF SE has extended the appointment of Martin Brudermuller as BASF’s chairman of the board of executive directors until the end of the 2024 annual shareholders’ meeting. The board has also appointed Dirk Elvermann as the new chief financial officer and chief digital officer. BASF SE is a German multinational chemical company.

Germany’s BASF & Neveon join hands for mattress recycling

Germany’s BASF and foam specialist, Neveon, are working together to further develop the recycling of mattresses. The aim is to establish a closed product loop for mattresses. Currently, discarded mattresses are mainly thermally recycled or disposed of in landfills. BASF and Neveon want to change this and return mattress foams to the product life cycle.

BASF to build hexamethylene diamine (HMD) plant in France

BASF decided to build a new hexamethylene diamine (HMD) plant in Chalampé, France. The new plant is set to increase BASF’s annual HMD production capacity to 260,000 metric tons. Production is expected to start in 2024. Furthermore, BASF will expand its polyamide 6.6 production in Freiburg, Germany starting 2022. BASF is a leading chemical from Germany.

BASF donates over 100 million protective masks

BASF, a German chemical company, has announced that as part of its “Helping Hands” campaign to fight corona pandemic, BASF is donating 100 million protective masks to the Federal Republic of Germany. BASF is also donating 1 million masks to the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. The first delivery of masks is expected at Frankfurt Airport by next week.
