Rock West Composites has announced the addition of 3Form Varia Ecoresin carbon fibre architectural panel products to its lineup. Carbon fibre has a high-end look that is valued in architecture and interior design projects. By encasing carbon fibre fabric in Varia Ecoresin, the resulting panels are durable enough for use in indoor or outdoor spaces.

In the near future the Salt Lake, Utah-based company anticipates expanding offerings to the architecture and design markets, including matte or high gloss carbon fibre panels, lighting fixtures, furniture and more. "There are also plans to offer integrated accessory product lines enabling railing, banister and other construction finishes," the company said on its website.

The newly available carbon fibre architectural panels are heat-formable into various shapes, bends or sizes. Since the panels are significantly lighter than glass, they require less structural support and are easier to install. They are also available in hundreds of tints and are incredibly versatile, enabling designers to achieve their desired vision. The panels are very tough, allowing for easy fabrication and maximum durability, and they also offer excellent chemical resistance, reducing potential harm incurred by cleaning agents.

"As they can tolerate cleaning, these panels make an excellent option for those looking to separate working areas due to distancing requirements during the pandemic. The SCS-certified recycled content helps achieve LEED credits for building sustainability, and Ecoresin is GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified," the company said.

“We are excited to be adding these new architectural panels to our line, so excited in fact that we are currently building out office partitions with them in our offices in our Utah facility,” said Dave Erickson, general manager of the Salt Lake City facility. “We know the aesthetics of carbon fibre have infinite application in the world of design and look forward to seeing the creative ways our customers deploy these new products.”
