Latin American firm Suzano to bring Eucacluff to Index20

Latin American pulp and paper producer Suzano will be exhibiting its eucalyptus-based fluff product, Eucacluff at the Index20 trade show to be held in Geneva, Switzerland from October 19-22, 2021. Eucafluff, the first bleached eucalyptus kraft fluff pulp available commercially, uses eucalyptus pulp to create its fluff rather than traditional pine fluff.

Index20 will be the first opportunity globally to see and test Suzano’s 100 per cent Eucafluff solution, which can be applied to hygiene products including diapers, feminine care products, pet pads and medical pads, the company said in a media release.

Eucafluff is the result of 11 years of research and development into eucalyptus as a fluff alternative, with the main benefits being that the end product is thinner and facilitates horizontal distribution of liquids (leading to better liquid retention), as per the company.

Due to the environmental implications of eucalyptus versus pine trees, Eucafluff offers a lower environmental footprint and can be a crucial step towards suppliers fulfilling their ESG targets and making products more sustainable.

The Eucacluff team will exhibit at booth number 4631 at the Index digital platform.
