Hexcel to promote its composite materials at ISPO Munich

Hexcel Corporation, a leading advanced composites company, is set to promote its leading range of composite materials for skis, snowboards, and other high performance sports equipment, at ISPO Munich, the world biggest sportswear exhibition, which runs from February 5-8, 2015.

Hexcel’s innovations in epoxy resins and carbon fabrics are transforming sports equipment, making it lighter, stronger and more resistant for world class competitors and the sporting enthusiast.

Hexcel is known for supplying prepregs, laminates, and polyurethane systems to ski and snowboard manufacturers, and has a range of composite products proven for recreation applications including the prepregs HexPly M49, EH04, and M77.

HexPly M77 helps leading ski manufacturers in fast and efficient production of high quality products. The system provides excellent adhesion to metal, wood, foam and other ski core materials and will be a part of the expo.

Hexcel’s PrimeTex fabrics are perfect for surface plies, sandwich constructions, structural parts or any other composite components requiring extreme lightness. PrimeTex, used by leading bike manufacturer Corima to manufacture carbon fibre wheel for road bikes, will be displayed on the Hexcel stand at ISPO.

Hexcel’s Modipur Polyurethanes, used as a reinforcing core material in skis and snowboards, will also be displayed at the sports equipment expo.
