E-textiles have been calledsmart textiles or intelligent textiles, electroactivetextiles, wearable electronics, and textronic depending on the approach.All these words referred tothe fabrics that can function as electronic devices and behave physically astextiles1. E-textiles are located in the potential area ofintersection among textiles, electronics, and information science (Fig.1)as it is the incorporation of digital and electronic componentsin everyday textiles and clothes. From thetextile point of view, e-textiles need to be designed to exhibit physicalproperties similar to those of traditional textiles such as bendable, stretchable,and washable while keeping good electrical conductivity. Inaddition, the e-textiles should have greater flexibility in tailoring to theneeds of the users and applications. This paper is concerned with theevaluation of E-textiles.
